Step 1: Add a User

User profiles are used in Comet’s encryption and key management, and therefore, act as a security boundary. Without the User credentials, it is impossible to decrypt backups.

There are several functionalities you can configure in the User Profile, such as setting the timezone and language on the client software, setting up 2FA for end-users, and configuring email reports.
