Overview of your Comet Setup

The backup software consists of two components:

  • Comet Management Console, a server-side application that manages user accounts and stores backup data; and
  • Comet Backup, a client-side application that performs backup and restore operations on a user's device.

The Comet Management Console runs on a designated computer and acts to manage, control, and monitor backup jobs from client devices.
