Step 4: Add a new Protected Item



There are several backup types you can set up with Comet – they are called Protected Items.

We have documentation on how different backup types work with Comet, and how to set them up, as well as the different restore options, in the Protected Items Guide.

It is also possible to set up default Protected Items to have them automatically configured on each device registered to a user through our Policy settings.

You can set up Protected Items either on the client or on the Comet Server, as long as the endpoint is online (i.e., the client is logged in with a user profile on your Comet Server).
