Changes compared to 19.12.8

  • The method of setting a default policy has changed since the feature was introduced in 19.12.2. If you had set a default policy using the previous method, it should be reconfigured using the new method

Enhancements

  • Allow choosing the default policy for new user accounts in the Comet Server web interface
  • More clearly display default policy badge when viewing a single policy in the Comet Server web interface

Bug Fixes

  • Fix an issue with not enforcing policy file exclusions that are specifically for the Windows x86_64 platform
  • Fix an issue with unclear error messages when xcrun fails to perform notarisation of a Comet Backup macOS installer using SSH
  • Fix a cosmetic issue with using "Save" instead of "Create" text when creating a new policy

Changes compared to 19.11.1

  • Comet Server now requires TLS1.2 for HTTPS connections, for improved PCI compliance. Windows Server 2008 users may be required to install KB4019276.

  • Comet Backup for macOS now requires OS X 10.10 Yosemite or higher (increased from 10.9 Mavericks)

  • Remove IE8 support for the Comet Server web interface

  • The Comet Backup uninstaller on macOS was moved to the Resources subdirectory of the .app package, to comply with Apple TN2206.
