  • Support remotely initiating a cross-device restore when logged in as an administrator to the Comet Server web interface
  • Updated "New user" guide text in the Comet Server web interface
  • Improve performance for the full-scan phase of storage-role replication, by reducing CPU usage on the replica server

Bug Fixes

  • Fix an issue with embedding 127.0.0.1 as the Comet Server URL into custom Comet Backup software downloads when a better URL is known
  • Fix an issue with backing up IO_REPARSE_TAG_WCI reparse points, that could cause "The system cannot find the file specified" errors
  • Fix an issue with backing up sparse files in Backup Operators mode, that could cause "Access is Denied" errors if fallback mode fails
  • Fix an issue with incomplete error messages for VSS component failures (e.g. failure to snapshot a single Hyper-V VM)
  • Fix an issue with encrypted admin user passwords in the Comet Server Service Manager when re-running the setup wizard on an existing server
  • Fix a cosmetic issue with frame borders when adding a new Protected Item in Comet backup on older versions of Windows

  • Fix a cosmetic issue with untranslated text when the 24 hour job history widget shows no results in the Comet Server web interface
